I Am The Way

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6, KJV). Looking at Romans 3:23 above also ties right into this verse from John. By putting all mankind on a level playing field in regards to sin and its consequence it places each one at the feet of the same Jesus for redemption. Reading from Christ Our Savior it states “Christ is the Savior, not only of the Jews; He is also the Savior of all men. Christ’s provision, in His death and resurrection, is great enough to redeem all of mankind. But man’s unbelief and continuing sin keeps him from the Savior.” This is the spot we claim as our own lostness for eternity or salvation and comfort through Christ. This Christ the one and only is the only way to overcome sin and its hold on the man. Seeking what the wide-open gates of this world have to offer will ultimately lead to destruction as Matthew 7:14 states “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Jesus is the narrow gate the only way that leads to Heaven. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12, KJV). The ultimate instruction manual that is the bible directs all of our attention to Jesus and His saving grace. God’s desire is that His people attain the ultimate glory in His presence but this will only come through Jesus Christ shed blood and resurrection. In Christ Our Savior it states so succinctly “Salvation is the deliverance of the sinner from the effects of sin. Our understanding of this must take into account man’s lostness. Sin has so completely devastated mankind that he cannot by any effort of his own free himself from it. He is a victim of sin’s power, guilt, and condemnation.” The answer lies in John 14:6 the Great I Am.
