What We Need
Lord God we need your help to understand the core of what we need in our daily life. What we face and answer wrongly? How we hurt and yet do not seek? What is the path back to comfort and hope in life? Whether young or old we all suffer from ourselves and what we think is important. This is not the way to go through life. Looking at what God teaches about our heart that it is wicked and deceitful. Our thoughts, actions, decisions, and focus must be wrapped around who God is and what Jesus did for us on the cross. Nothing more and nothing less will do. We must be so in love with who Jesus is that we forget about who we desire to be other than desiring our hearts to be like Him. Within this desiring we conform our lives around His thoughts and actions.
Forgiving
Forgiving those that have hurt us in the face of the worldly norms of hate and blame. What makes us think there is any other option? What, we believe we are better than Jesus, in how we conduct ourselves? Jesus showed love and compassion to those that hurt him. While on the cross He says: Father forgive them for they know not what they do. This type of love is not something within our beings but found in a relational walk with Christ. The battles we face are not ours. Although we so often assume responsibility for actions or paths forward. Never once thinking to bathe them in prayer or seek guidance in scripture. Jesus is our rock, our salvation, our friend in times of need.
Hope
Going through life with Hope is not a mystery. It is leaning and depending on God for everything in life. Every thought in our mind laying aside those things that so easily beset us while constantly looking to a greater good and eternal place to call home. That glorious place and time when we shall no longer hurt or desire things that are only meant for our harm.
The Answer
The devil seeks whom he may devour he is looking for that small crack in our armor to penetrate. Don’t let him in, don’t depend on what you can do, but lay all your cares and burdens upon the Lord. Our guidance and help are from God. A God that is not only talked about but lived with, lived through, while living in his guidance. Decisions in life become not what the world says is correct but what truly is correct; in Him. He loves us while we are yet unlovable, He cares for us knowing we are the ones that placed him on a cross. Let us turn now and ask forgiveness for what we have done and fall on our knees in prayer to God for all guidance.
James 1:22-25
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth [therein], he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
